The forecast was for it to be sunny, but windy. Diary was clear so thought it worth a punt to see how things were on Selsley.
Started the day with 8 or 9 other hopefuls on take off, some with XC dreams and others just looking to leave the ground. The first flight had a few bumps and turns, but for the most part was gale dangling - not really my cup of tea. Mike H lasted longest and actually seemed to enjoy it!
Following a hairy top to bottom (wind now off to the west) the die-hards set off for Frocester.
Peggy and others were first off and enjoyed much better flying conditions, climbing out almost immediately. Once in the air it was clear conditions were a tad calmer wind wise, and there was plenty of lift to play with.
I punched forward under a line of lifty cloud, back to take off, then packed up and back in time to pick up the little one from after school club. Brilliant: -)
