After a poor year last year, flying-wise, I was well out of practice. My shoulder is now operational and I decided to resume flying. VERY RUSTY, and I have been like a newbie with crap ground handling etc. Yesterday, after finally managing to take off from the Blorenge I boosted my self esteem bigly, by completing a 54k FAI triangle! The big boys did more, but it was great to able to enjoy my first seriously low save in a while, and taste cloudbase, at 6000ft. It was cold and lots of things ached at the end, but it was FAB! It was a route I did a couple of years ago…

Basically, Blorenge to Hay Bluff and return. It must have pissed off those who went to Hay Bluff, as I could see the occasional glider take off and shortly after, landing at the bottom. I passed over them at cloudbase for my turnpoint. Many more to come I hope!
