The high cloud blocking a lot of the sun didn't give me much hope for a good flight but SkySight said it was on so I gave it a go. I was the only person on launch and the wind had got quite strong before I managed to get set up. Once in the air it was a little bumpy but there was no lack of thermals and soon I was away from the hill and going up in a gentle 0.5 - 1.0 m/s climb. I stayed with the same bit of lift for half an hour(! ) before gliding off to another likely looking cloud. I'm annoyed that I let a climb near the end slip through my fingers but it was quite windy by that point and it looks like I just wasn't pushing back into wind enough on every rotation. Ah well, lesson learnt.
Train to Lewes, bus to Seaford and then sitting around in a pub talking about our flights and laughing with my friends - overall a very pleasant day.
