Well I am very surprised to have got 6th in the daily numbers score, beaten by a 105k declared FAI triangle! (Joe Dart did also did a 100+k triangle but only uses XContest)

So many bomb outs… My modest 55k declared effort on my B wing nearly finished on the battle against the headwind towards Droitwich Spa, and an unlikely lowish save took me screaming back to base. (5m/sec! ) After that the clouds worked like clockwork, with large areas of gently sucking clouds, with strong cores. I was surprised how long some clouds kept working. Heading south to TP2, there was a huge cloud that looked too far away to head for, so I deviated to smaller puffs, with varied success, 20 minutes or more later I arrived at this huge cloud, nicely marked by Craig Dolwin, (Rush 5) This seemed to be vacuuming up thermals from all around, and we progressed easily south, to my second TP at Pershore. Heading across back to Beacon, there was nothing to go for except another huge cloud, well the other side of the Severn, Miles away, and off to the south! Well, it worked again. The only problem was that we were drifting south in the increasing Northerly breeze. I headed up to the north, to the only working cloud, and it all worked well, thank goodness, and I was easily able to complete the circuit, marking the lift for Craig. A bit of squeaky bum time for sure! We were well set for landing a few k short.

Great day out! Topping B class now, on the Sports filter, and no, I didnt cheat, by flyng my new Mint 2 liner C. Why doesnt the XC League have a button to link for the Sports League?
