A perfect day out on my paraglider with friends. Chilly (-4C or so) at base just short of 5000 feet and some exciting climbs, the best of which in the company of a gaggle of black-backed gulls flying like homesick angels with a vertical component of up to 5 m/s. Then a bit of tricky airspace negotiation as I approached my goal on the edge of Bristol, deliberately chosen to be a lazy person's walk to Bristol Parkway railway station. Landed in a park much to the interest of a swarm of kids who vacated the play park en masse to ask all sorts of interesting questions, the best of which was 'Did you just fall out of the sky? ' Well, yes! Onto the train for a quick hop back to Swindon, there to be picked up by Ella, earning herself numerous brownie points for taking Andrew and me back the way she had just come to our start point. A grand day out. 😎
