A lovely day on Pandy, what's not to like about flying here, you get a great ridge run, fabulous views and usually some thermal practice into the bargain.

A fairly easy cruise up to the cat's back and then the work and decision making begins. To attempt the crossing on to Black Hill or not? I've been caught here before landing at the bottom of Black Hill trying to cross and then at the bottom of the main ridge when trying to come back. I watched Phil and a couple of others manage to get to base and head over but I just couldn't seem to connect with what they found. I nearly made it but lost height on the final bit of the crossing so headed back - 3 times.

I watched a couple go over and be drilled so gave up at that point as I desperately needed a comfort break and didn't have the necessary in flight facility on!

An easy cruise back down the ridge to land for said comfort break and lunch - perfect!
