A bit of surprise, that Cornborough became flyable in the afternoon, when I expected to have to drive to a Northerly facing site. White horses just forming out at sea when I took off, Jamie on the Alpina 2 joined me.
There must have been wave, because without apparent thermals, and no cumulus for a mile inland, we managed to climb to 1600ft at Peppercombe.
Jamie managed to make it back across the "gap" with his glider below clifftop height.
A beautiful, scenic flight that will break no records, but will be hard to forget; -)
