A North Hill day, fabulous, but as rare as rocking horse droppings! I don't think we've had a decent PG day on North Hill for the last 3 years.
Sea thermals, 1.3m/s climbs at times, 1600' asl and lots of pilots out to play, some on a first flight here after several visits. There is an apprenticeship to be served here though, the hill doesn't give us days like these without extracting payment first!
A very big thank you goes to Nick Jenkins, our local pilot, who had done sterling work strimming the take off for us.
My first flight of the year, my new glove set up worked well and I managed just over 2 hours, in January, more of the same please.
