Felt like a late start as many had set off an hour before. The hill turned off after they left for 30min making me think ied missed it. Then a good cycle came thou and a gaggle of 5-6 got to base around 4000ft. Just me and Dave went over the back. He didn't have a radio so intentions where communicated with loud words and hand signals.

Thought we'd got away from the sea breeze as good clouds remained at Parlick but it was waiting for us at Clapham and was filling Ribblehead head. Dave landed here, most likely out of choice as its one of his preferred landings. I had done this before with him and was in a more adventurous mood today. Dribbled out the valley, and eventuality out of sea breeze influence, to a place i now know to be Hawes and beyond.

The late start turned out to be a bonus as i got almost entirely smooth, easy going air. Very different for the reports of earlier pilots. Plus a lift from Brian.

Which was nice.
