A fantastic 3rd day of the bank holiday at Parlick again This time joined by Richard, Dave Eva & Jan. Starting on the South face I was the first to make it to the bowl and hung around for the others to join me Struggled to get up in the first few thermals and Richard got away first over the back followed by Jan then Dave Eva Took me another 20mins to get a good climb out. Headed off on my own but in radio contact with Jan Pretty much a blue day but still some good thermals around Goal was set for the A66 (Richard programmed all our instruments on the way down) so we all had the same task set to add to the excitement. Took a more Easterly line downwind but once again the pesky sea breeze kicked in toward Inglebrough to down me, but managed to fly over Gaping Gill with BPC tents visible for the winch meet then to the East of Simon Fell to land on the Y3P's track. (near Juniper Gulf) Walked down to Horton and checked out the route from the village to Penyghent for a forthcoming ML guiding day. Then to the Golden Lion for more Penyghent Bitter. Collected by Richard who got 2 lifts and then a taxi back to the car at Parlick after he'd collected Jan and Dave Eva from Settle (thank you kindly Richard)
A cracking day and brilliant Bank Holiday weekend.
