Well what can you say not big compared to some flights lately but my best flight for sure. The hill I went to normally never works due to sea breeze and site record pg is 11k. I got there as the clouds were just disappearing and the sea breeze was on it, however it was quick out the car and off. I took the irst broken thermal and went out the back low and thought it was going to be a icecream with the school party in Ingram valley. Well I managed to keep on getting broken lift knowing I was getting close to the better air. Then up she goes but boy it was rock and roll as the sea air was all around, though I managed to keep pushing at a painful slow pace as not sure what the wind was doing. However it was week broken with some strong bits all the way then at Kelso the wind came more southerly with bit west and progress at last. The goal was to break 50k as I have had a prize of £100 for the first pg pilot to do 50 out the cheviots. Well it was finally looking like it was on and ended up with the biggest flight ever done from the cheviots and we have been trying for a long time. One very happy person.
